This Week’s Theme
You're alive. Do something. The directive in life, the moral imperative was so uncomplicated. It could be expressed in single words, not complete sentences. It sounded like this: Look. Listen. Choose. Act.
You’re Alive! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
― Barbara Hall, A Summons to New Orleans, 2000 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Look outside and hope for a bright sunshine
As the storm clouds begin to slowly depart,
Look outside yourself and hope for a sign
As your Life is a unique work of art.
Keep looking outside and what can you see?
The beautiful Nature not measured in degrees,
Telling you the truth... you're going to revive,
Don't die inside.... YOU'RE ALIVE!

ReplyDeleteAs Rosie said, it is both beautiful and inspiring. Yes, just like the trees in springtime, we shall leaf out and bloom once again. Thank you, Belita. This is very special.
ReplyDeleteYour entries are getting more and more interesting, Belita!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the reminder, Belita. Sometimes we forget that we are works of art.
ReplyDeleteI love the line about one's life being a unique work of art, Belita! And about how one need not die inside. Beautiful poem!
ReplyDeleteThanks, but I already knew that I was alive. Every day I check the obituaries in our local newspaper and, if my name's not listed there, I figure that I'm good for one more day.
ReplyDeleteGlad to read you already knew you are alive. However, in my modest opinion, it's always nice to be reassured. Have a nice day and always enjoy every day of your life.
ReplyDeletefabulous Belita as usual...
