This is seen on the façade of  a museum that is entirely dedicated to the life and works by Rafael Bordalo Pinheiro (1846-1905), the most famous Portuguese ceramist. Pinheiro's Palissy ware doesn't follow the most typical Portuguese model of figures but has highly detailed figures artistically placed on mottled or iridiscent plates and vases. Pinheiro was awarded a medal at the 1889 Paris Exposition and at several other international exhibitions.

As Christmas is in the air and here and there we can see  the traditional seasonal decorations, I chose a wreath for this week. You see stickers of butterflies in the center but, in the original photo, they are not  part of the wreath. I added the butterflies just to make it prettier at your eyes
