The Portuguese artist Joana Vasconcelos is the first woman to exhibit at the majestic palace of Versailles (France) and its surrounding gardens and, at 40, is also the youngest artist to present her work there.
A few years ago she exhibited her works here, in Lisbon. I didn't miss it. Her work pictured below was one that impressed me the most. Yesterday, I read in a Portuguese newspaper, that Versailles didn't allow Ms Vasconcellos to exhibit it at the palace... Can you guess the reason? Probably, not. I'll tell you later....
