She descended into the darkness
In order to see the desirable light,
She walked in the darkness
In order to see a beacon of hope,
She stepped into the darkness
Of the unknown in search of lucidity,
And, suddenly, she found herself wrapped
In a silent and transparent darkness,
Ready to guide her to a new itinerary,
Full of light… free from jeopardy!
In order to see the desirable light,
She walked in the darkness
In order to see a beacon of hope,
She stepped into the darkness
Of the unknown in search of lucidity,
And, suddenly, she found herself wrapped
In a silent and transparent darkness,
Ready to guide her to a new itinerary,
Full of light… free from jeopardy!

The ending was worth the peril of the endeavour!
ReplyDeleteYa' know, you made a great point, B. Sometimes we have to go into the darkness to come out on the other side.
ReplyDeleteisn't that the way it is...a well expressed poem! Brava!
ReplyDeleteBelita, I like this photo very much.
ReplyDeleteThere is light at the end of the dark street.
Transparent darkness...love that.
ReplyDeleteIt really does go in that direction sometimes. Interesting photo
ReplyDeleteThe picture fits your words so well. I could feel the darkness all around me and I kept on holding on to the little glimmer of light in the distance. That was wonderfully written.
ReplyDeleteas they also say....it is always darkest before dawn
ReplyDeletewhere there is light there is hope
Profound thoughts, Belita...one has to see darkness in order to appreciate and see Light...
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful.
ReplyDeleteSometimes a chance has to be taken in order to make progress. This is really well written and I enjoyed it verymuch.
